Typical Session

All services are personally tailored to your individual needs and include monitoring of heart rate, blood pressure and any other relevant parameters.

Because of the individual nature of personal training, your session may include different variations of the sample sessions listed below.

INITIAL CONSULTATION and FITNESS EVALUATION: (60-90 minutes)*

This includes a review of medical history, baseline physical assessment, and a discussion of your goals and achievement strategies.  The fitness evaluation follows the consultation, and includes assessment of walking/running tolerance, muscular strength and endurance, balance, core strength, posture, and exercise vital statistics.

*For safety reasons, the initial consultation and fitness evaluation are required before starting any personal training program.

PERSONAL EXERCISE TRAINING SESSION:

This includes some or all of the following, tailored to individual goals and abilities:

  • Warm-up
  • Strengthening
  • Aerobic and endurance training
  • Neuromuscular and balance training
  • Functional performance training
  • Flexibility, ROM (Range of Motion) and cool down
  • Post exercise relaxation and imagery

Depending on which specific type of training you chose, there may be numerous additional aspects to the workout, i.e. sport specific drills and exercises, nutritional consultation, lifestyle adaptation tips, and much more.
